The early bird catches the sunrise

Thursday 30th June
The early morning wake up calls were always repented by the spectacular sunrises we witnessed on our drives through Thanda. This particular winter's morning was especially bracing as we all huddled in the back of the truck adorned in multiple layers of clothing; wooly hats and gloves included! Before long the dawn sky was awakened by the warm glow of a perfectly circular sun rising beyond the hills and illuminating the blanket of fog suspended amidst the silhouetted tree tops. It was a memorising sight for our sore eyes to behold!
No photo could do this natural spectacle justice but this is my attempt...
